I put the 48–72 hr re-check in the estimate and work order, and tell clients we’ll be back unless conditions normalize; the line reads: “We schedule a moisture re-inspection within 48–72 hours to verify drying behind finishes; access required.” Small caveat: I waive the visit if day-one readings and dew point fall below baseline and baseboards stay at equilibrium — no need to chase ghosts. Are you billing that second trip or bundling it?
